Our Vision
We are Evangelical, stressing salvation by faith in the atoning death of Jesus Christ through personal conversion, the authority and inerrancy of the Bible, the necessity of evangelism at home and abroad, the priesthood of the believer, and the importance of Spirit-anointed preaching as contrasted with mere ritual.
We are Sacramental, practicing the historically recognized rites vital to worship preserved and practiced throughout the ages. We, therefore, highly value the sacraments and sacramentalism, utilize the primary ancient creeds, and encourage liturgy based on Biblical and historic traditions along with the historical ceremony and Christian symbolism.
We are Pentecostal, emphasizing the free expression of the gifts and Person of the Holy Spirit, especially in expressive praise, signs, and wonders, an infilling of the Holy Spirit, personal spiritual growth and holiness, and everyone’s call to ministry.
We have an absolute commitment to bring closure to the Great Commission. Evangelism and discipleship of the spiritually lost are of the highest importance. Our evangelical commitment involves aggressive church planting, especially among the under-evangelized and unreached people groups worldwide. We also have a vigorous devotion to training a generation of young people to fulfill their God-given destiny. Additionally, we have an unflinching resolve to recognize and promote the priesthood of all believers through the five-fold ministry. We are equally devoted to the biblical ministries of physical healing, ministry to the poor and needy, and the mending of all human divisions..
I. Spiritual needs of the world
We are called to be a light to the world. Matthew 5:14 “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.”
Light of World Alliance Ministries is a nondenominational organization that is called to fulfill the Great Commission. Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Our passion is that everyone would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
We are called to birth churches around the world, as well as be a spiritual covering and aid to ministries that need support to fulfill their destiny. This includes counseling, education, training, and licensing churches and clergy. We are called to conduct crusades and revivals as well as meet the natural needs of men, women, boys, and girls through humanitarian efforts. Our goal is for every person created to live their God-fulfilled purpose in this world.
II. Humanitarian needs:
Global poverty is one of the most pressing problems that the world faces today. The poorest in the world are often underfed, and without access to basic services such as safe drinking water; they have less access to education and suffer from much poorer health.
In the United States a person is counted as being in poverty if they live on less than roughly $24.55 per day, in different parts of the world the poverty line is set more than 10 times lower – at $2.04 per day. Light of the World takes pride in helping the homeless, hungry, and poor in the United States and around the world. Our passion is to provide resources to the helpless and give opportunities to all those who want to live a better life.
